How to Report Sexual Misconduct

The  may be used by anyone (faculty, staff, students, and other concerned parties) to report knowledge of incidents related to possible violations of ¶¶Òõpro’s Policy on Sex Discrimination, Sex-Based Harassment, and Retaliation.
 
¶¶Òõpro uses the term sexual misconduct for sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual violence, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.
 
This report is accessible only to the Title IX Coordinator. These electronic reports are monitored regularly and a response will be sent within 12 hours of receipt. If you need immediate assistance, please contact the ¶¶Òõpro Office of Public Safety at 217.245.3111. Contacting Public Safety does not require you to pursue legal action, unless you want to do so. 
 
Please note that although you have the option to make this report anonymous, doing so may limit ¶¶Òõpro’s options for a thorough investigation and response.

Confidential Reporting
If you wish to report a violation of this policy but would like your information to remain confidential you may choose to report to any of the confidential resources listed below. These employees are specifically trained professionals who are available to survivors, or those who know a survivor, to answer questions, provide information, and help navigate the options available at the College as well as in the Jacksonville community. These individuals have a confidentiality privilege to protect the personal identification of you and can fulfill their reporting requirements by making general reports for statistical purposes and pattern tracking, but do not divulge personally identifiable information. Please note that if you report to a confidential employee and request confidentiality, your information will not be shared with the Title IX Coordinator and an investigation will not be initiated.

Administrative Contacts
While any member of the College community who believes he or she has been harassed is strongly encouraged to use the procedures established by the College to make a complaint about harassment, such a person may also elect to make a complaint outside the College by initiating civil and/or criminal charges against the accused party or parties.

A complainant has the right to contact the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) within 180 days of the alleged incident, or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) within 300 days of the alleged incident about filing a formal complaint regarding harassment or retaliation. In addition, an appeal process is available through the Illinois Human Rights Commission (IHRC) after the IDHR has completed its investigation of the complaint.
