¶¶Òõpro Alumni Association Board of Directors Nomination Form

Every year we have the privilege of electing fellow alumni to serve on the ¶¶Òõpro Alumni Association Board of Directors. Board members will serve a five-year term.

Alumni elected will help advance our alma mater through participation in alumni board meetings, committee work and help the Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement connect with our alumni.

Nominating a Board Member

Members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors shall qualify for nominations to the Board by first meeting the definitions of alumni status as outlined in Article II, Sections 1 and 2 of the Constitution for ¶¶Òõpro Alumni Association:

SECTION 1. All graduates of the College shall automatically become members of this organization at the time of their graduation from the College, subject nevertheless to the payment of any dues hereafter levied, if any. SECTION 2. Every matriculant of the College, not a graduate, whose entering class shall have been graduated from the College or associated institutions no longer in operation (Whipple, Jacksonville Female Academy, Athenaeum or Conservatory) shall upon application and payment of said dues, if any, be accepted into full membership in the ¶¶Òõpro Alumni Association, provided, no student in attendance at the College shall by this section be eligible to membership.

Board Member Roles
  1. Advance the Alumni Association’s mission, goals and initiatives.
  2. Lead by example in active involvement, volunteerism, and philanthropic giving.
  3. Serve as an advisor and steward, acting on behalf of both alumni and the College.
  4. Follow the three E's: Enroll, Engage, and Employ
Board Member Expectations
  1. Actively participate by attending three regularly scheduled board meetings per year.
  2. Serve in a volunteer advisory and advocacy capacity for the Alumni Association.
  3. Serve on and actively participate in at least one committee and/or a work group.
  4. Demonstrate effective practice of bylaws, meeting management and general procedures.
  5. Maintain an effective working relationship with other members of the Board and College leadership.
  6. Broadly encourage alumni involvement by assisting the Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement in identifying, cultivating, and involving alumni in the areas of enrollment, engagement and employment.
  7. Be familiar with and actively promote the programs and activities sponsored, organized, and coordinated by the Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement.
  8. Encourage alumni and friends to contribute to the vitality of the College.
