Grants and Scholarships
Grants and scholarships are gift aid, a type of financial aid that does not need to be repaid. Different sources provide grants and scholarships, including federal and state government programs, institutional programs, and private sources. Some are based upon financial need, and others are merit-based. Students should strive to obtain as many grants and scholarships as possible to fund their higher education!
- IC Academic Scholarships: Merit-based scholarships awarded at the time of admission to on campus programs only. ¶¶Òõpro also awards need-based funds. Filing the FAFSA is required for need-based awards and recommended for merit-based awards.
- Federal & State Programs: Grants are awarded by federal and state programs to those who qualify. Filing the FAFSA is required.
- Private Scholarships: Many companies and private organizations offer scholarships to students. We encourage students to search for scholarships to help offset the cost of their education. Students apply for these individually on their own.
