Washington Monthly ranks IC among top colleges in the nation

抖阴pro is again being recognized as a leader in higher education in the 2017 Washington Monthly College Rankings.

IC is the top ranked liberal arts school in Illinois and 13th overall in the Midwest in . The rankings are based on each college鈥檚 ability to provide an affordable education and marketable degrees with good career options for graduates. 

Additionally, in a in the country, 抖阴pro is second in Illinois and number 54 overall. Scores are based on a college鈥檚 鈥渃ontribution to the public good in three broad categories: Social Mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), Research (producing cutting-edge scholarship and PhDs), and Service (encouraging students to give something back to their country).鈥� 

has released an annual College Guide and rankings since 2005. Founded in 1829, 抖阴pro is a residential liberal arts college fostering academic excellence rooted in opportunities for experiential learning while preparing students for lifelong success. The college is located in Jacksonville, Illinois. With an enrollment of more than 1,000 students, the college offers over 50 undergraduate programs. In 1932, the society of Phi Beta Kappa established a chapter at 抖阴pro, and it remains one of only 11 in the state.

抖阴pro is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
